Intel i5 3570K vs. i5 2500K

Its been quite much time now since Ivy bridge released, there are hundreds of questions across the internet whether to go for a year old 2500K or 3570K. Well these two CPUs are neck to neck in performance, the 3570K holds some advantage.
Let us see first what are the advantages of 3570K over 2500K.

Advantages:
1. 3570K is 100 MHz faster than 2500K.
2. It has small die shrink i.e 22nm, so power consumption is low.
3. 3570K has better GPU, the HD 4000 is 60% faster than HD 3000 of 2500k
4. Overclocks better and higher than 2500K.
5. One year newer than 2500K.

Disadvantages:
1. Costs 30$ more than 2500K.
2. Not worth to upgrade from 2500K.

These are the main points that I see by which the 3570K holds an edge over 2500K. There are even more points to consider when you are buying the 3570K, if you own 2500K or any unlocked Sandy Bridge CPU, then it is not worth it to upgrade to 3570K or other Ivy Bridge CPUs. If you have a CPU of lower specifications than the Sandy Bridge then it is better to go for the Ivy Bridge.
These are the main points in this battle between 2500K and 3570K, if you liked this post, then please share it with your friends, to keep in touch you can subscribe to our posts.
